Cookie Policy

Plain-English draft

This page describes Artem Software's use of cookies and similar technologies based on the current codebase. It should be reviewed alongside any production-specific provider changes before formal legal sign-off.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website or application. Similar technologies can also use local browser storage, pixels, or identifiers to remember settings, keep you signed in, measure activity, or improve security.

2. How Artem Software uses them

Artem Software uses cookies and similar technologies for four main purposes:

  • to keep the app secure and working properly;
  • to remember consent and preference choices;
  • to support specific public-link behaviour such as duplicate-view prevention on some estimate and invoice flows;
  • to collect optional analytics and diagnostics where the user has allowed them.

3. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are used to provide core functionality, maintain security, or remember choices that are needed to respect your cookie preferences.

sb-*
Supabase authentication cookies used to keep signed-in users logged in and support secure session handling.
pp_consent
Stores your cookie consent choice so Artem Software can remember whether you accepted or rejected non-essential analytics cookies.
estimate_viewed_* and invoice_viewed_*
Used on certain public estimate and invoice flows to reduce duplicate view counting from the same browser and support abuse control. These are not intended for advertising.

4. Preferences and functionality

Artem Software may also use browser storage or similar client-side techniques to remember product preferences such as interface choices, where that is needed for the service experience. Not every preference is stored as a cookie, but this policy groups them together for clarity.

5. Analytics and diagnostics

Where enabled, Artem Software uses PostHog for product analytics and diagnostic tooling. These tools are intended to help us understand how the service is used, investigate problems, and improve the product.

Analytics cookies are intended to be optional. If you reject non-essential analytics cookies, Artem Software is designed not to load the PostHog browser SDK for that session.

ph_*
PostHog analytics and diagnostic cookies, where analytics are enabled.

Artem Software may also use server-side error monitoring and technical logs, including services such as Sentry where enabled. Those tools do not necessarily rely on browser cookies in every case, but they are part of the wider diagnostic setup.

6. Payment-related technologies

Where payment or billing features are enabled, third-party payment providers such as Stripe may use their own cookies or device signals for fraud prevention, payment processing, and service security.

7. Managing your preferences

Artem Software currently provides a live cookie preferences control. You can use the button below, or the same control in the site footer, to review your current analytics choice and change it.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings, although blocking essential cookies may stop parts of Artem Software from working properly.

8. Changes to this policy

Artem Software may update this page as cookies, providers, or diagnostics change. The date at the top shows when this draft was last updated.
